1. There’s roadside parking in Delph Quarry on Delph Lane (SD54593 45550). Walk downhill along Delph Lane to the footpath (SD54801 45228) leading to High Moor. Through the wooden gate on the L before the farmyard, follow the path behind the buildings across the pasture next to the fence to a stile (SD55180 45543) at Broadgate. Across the road is a gate (SD55224 45599), turn R into a muddy farm track for Broadgate Wood. Through a gate (SD55633 45328), cross the pasture to Bleasdale Tower (SD55834 46148), walk in front of the building to a gate and the road at Brooks Barn (SD56101 46256).
2. Turn R down the estate road, leave the woodland continue to Brooks. After the farm, on the L & in the trees is the old packhorse bridge crossing the River Brock. Continue along the estate road, before the next woodland, there is a track on the L leading to a pasture via a gate (SD56699 45632). Cross the pasture to Admarsh Barn and the Chapel (SD57293 45529).
3. Turn R & walk down the road to Bleasdale School, before the cattle grid is a gate (SD57359 45248) on the L. Along the path, gates & a small footbridge assist passage through the woodland. Walk across the pasture to the gate (SD57729 45124) by the ‘Ailsa Grove Hide’. Turn L along the farm road to the cattle grid & brook (SD57895 45103), now turn R on the path alongside the brook to a footbridge (SD58012 44924). Continue to the muddy farm track (SD58654 44686) & to Blindhurst. Enter the cobbled farmyard at Blindhurst keeping R. Pass in front of the white-washed cottage (built 1731) and turn L to leave the farmyard.
4. Leave the farmyard, turn R and climb the short slope diagonally to a stile (SD58871 44789). Turn L and descend the path heading for Fair Snape Farm, keep a constant direction to cross a fence stile (SD58804 44972) and then another fence-stile (SD58763 45153) to a footbridge (SD58657 45370). Follow the path alongside the fence (it crosses the fence) to the road at Higher Fair Snape (SD53235 45923). Turn R up the farm road to Higher Fair Snape.
5. Through the gateposts & turn L after the barn, follow the signs through the 2nd farmyard and along a good path to reach the Concessionary Path (SD57659 46717) before Holme House. Turn R and follow the farm track, through the yard at Holme House, passing a cattle grid (SD57271 47174) before Hazlehurst.
6. Continue past Hazlehurst, its now an estate road leading to Clough Heads Wood & a cattle grid (SD56527 46780). Continue along the estate road, over Clough Heads Bridge, past the cottages and estate buildings to Brooks Barn (SD56101 46256).
7. Turn R at Brooks Barn, along the estate road, past Bleasdale Tower and Fell End. Continue along the estate road, just before Stang Yule is a path on the L, through a gate and Delph Wood to reach Delph Lane. Turn L and walk down Delph Lane to Delph Quarry and the start/finish.
